My Quilting Journey
I’ve been making quilts for over 20 years, and my journey as a quilter has evolved alongside my passion for the craft.
I began quilting my own quilt tops on a domestic machine, carefully maneuvering the quilt under the needle with the feed dogs down, creating free-motion stippling across each piece. While I loved the process, it was time-consuming and physically demanding—especially as my quilts grew larger.
As I looked for more precision, I experimented with programmed designs using an embroidery machine, but quickly found that method to be cumbersome as well.
Determined to improve both the process and the results, I invested in my first longarm machine. Even then, I knew I wanted more space and flexibility to truly do justice to each quilt.
Now, with my Innova M28 on a 12-foot frame, I have the capability to quilt with precision and consistency—allowing me to focus on what matters most: enhancing each quilt’s design and bringing it to life.
